At its World-Wide concert series held each year since 2013, Müpa Budapest has showcased the history of the cimbalom and the tárogató and the diverse range of genres they can be used in.

The singer, songwriter and producer Zsófia Szigeti released her first track in 2020 under the name of Solére, and quickly became a popular performer of contemporary Hungarian pop music. Her melodic, electronic pop music also found its way to radio, and her initial hits were followed by a 16-track debut album in 2022, IMA.

A Jü 2012-ben alakult Budapesten. A trió tagjai a hazai zenei élet sokat foglalkoztatott zenészei, olyan együttesekből érkeztek, mint a Qualitons, a Zuboly, az Erik Sumo Band, a Dresch Quartet vagy a Grencsó Kollektíva.

Zsombor Tóth-Vajna is an outstandingly talented member of the young Hungarian generation of artists dedicated to the historically informed performance of early music, both as a conductor and a specialist in early keyboard instruments, playing the organ, harpsichord, fortepiano and clavichord. He completed his studies at Budapest's Liszt Academy and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Just like it has done so many times before, the Jazz Spring festival continues to present women who exude strength as they proclaim the bright future of jazz. For Lakecia Benjamin, the dynamics, styles and moods of jazz, funk, R&B and hip-hop are all equally her own, and she combines them in the most natural ways imaginable.

This season of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra revolves around the spirit of Zoltán Kocsis. In November, we commemorate the anniversary of his death with a concert, while on his birthday at the end of May we, together with the Academy of Music, are organising the Day of Hungarian Classical Music with the intention of creating a tradition, nurturing old values and encouraging the birth of new ones.
